How Do You Share Audio Input and Output with a Friend?Show Video Details ↓ Chris Pirillo: If you haven't already picked up some kind of headphone splitter, I'd recommend it because you never really know when you're going to need it. You have your audio device like an iPod and someone wants to listen in but you don't want to give over your headset, you want to be able to listen to the same thing at the same time. So you get one of these Y-adapters because you only have 1 headphone jack in your audio device and this splits the signal. That's fine for audio output. But what about audio output and input? Here is a device, $20 right now. Simultalk will allow you to split that signal not just the output but the input as well. So, you're on the phone, you've got your headset in, someone else wants to join in but you don't want to take your headset out so you plug in Simultalk. They can talk on their headset, you can talk on your headset with Simultalk. The splitter is... This is what it looks like, it's like a Y-adapter. Each one of the outputs has its own volume control. It's independent. So if you can barely hear and your friend can hear everything, including a drop of a pin, you can adjust the volume accordingly. It also comes with a handful of adapters just in case the jacks that you're using are different sizes, diameters. Then you would be able to adapt your Simultalk to whatever the situation called for. I guess I got my Simultalk going all over the place here. this is great. So there we go. We've got another Y-adapter, the Simultalk and these adapters. I would say not just flexible physically, but flexible in what a product is. Patent pending, simultalk dot com, splitting audio output and input. If you're thinking of getting some kind of splitter for your audio devices, I would consider something like a Simultalk. As I said, patent pending, that's what the website says, simultalk dot com. I would consider this because, like I said, it's not just output but it's input as well. And this is one of those things that you wish you had it when you need it, but you don't know you need it until you actually need it. So it's better to have one before you need it, you know what I'm saying?
