American Woman Goes Missing on Caribbean Cruise

Lt. Matthew Moorlag: The likelihood of finding a survivor significantly decreases with every hour that passes.

Narrator: Thirty six years old Jennifer Seitz was on a cruise in the Gulf of Mexico when she disappeared.

Lt. Matthew Moorlag: Through surveillance video that they have, that they believe is imagery of her going over the side. We have, we believe she went overboard at about eight pm on Thursday.

Narrator: Her husband, Ray, reported Seitz missing at 5 the next morning. The Coast Guard and Mexican authorities are searching the sea for her. Severe weather and strong waves are complicating efforts, rescue crews have covered more than 2,500 square miles in their search.

Passenger: Creepy, it was sad.

Passenger 2: I'm really shocked.

Narrator: Passengers kept a close tab on Ray Seitz after Jennifer went missing. The FBI met the ship at the port when it docked in Miami. Investigators interviewed her husband but have yet to comment on the details.

Michael Leverock: We're looking to see if a crime has been committed. We're not saying one has, we're trying to determine if there was one committed.
